INTERNATIONAL CLEAN BEACH DAY IN UKRAINE

This year, The Clean Beach Day is celebrated around the world on September 18.

Prior to this Day, with the support of the EU / UNDP Project EU4EMBLAS, three cleanings were orginized on the Black Sea coast in three different locations.

The first started on September 15 on the Kinburn Spit. Representatives of the National Park “Biloberezhzhya Svyatoslava” and the public organization “Kinburn” launched a large-scale environmental action. The participants of the event cleaned the coastline of the Black Sea and the Dnipro-Bug estuary with a total area of about 6 km and collected more than 4 cubes of solid waste. The organizers of the event gave a lecture on nature conservation and waste sorting. All participants received gifts in memory.
