AWARDING OF THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION “DRAW A DREAM ABOUT THE SEA: GEORGIA”

On the 5 th of July, 2022 scientific and educational event “Black Sea Blue Policy” was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Its goal was to promote scientific research and innovation and introducing the achievements of marine researchers to the general public.

In the frame of this large event, the EU4EMBLAS project had a special side event devoted to the exhibition of the results of the Georgian-Ukrainian competition “Draw a dream about the Sea”. In total, 10 best Georgian and Ukrainian children’s paintings were presented. Hopes for peace and support for Ukraine as well as care about the marine environment and wish to keep the Black Sea healthy and clean dominated the artworks submitted by both Georgian and Ukrainian youngsters.

The artwork of Elene Gabaidze “Sunset from Ukraine” got a 1 st prize and music system. 4 other best paintings were awarded the valuable prizes. A special prize (sound system) went to School # 4, Poti for the biggest number of artworks submitted.

All the participants of the competition got diplomas and gifts. The kids were happy and inspired to create and care more about our vulnerable Black Sea.
