EU4EMBLAS PROJECT PARTICIPATED IN THE WORLDS WETLANDS DAY 2023

Despite the blackouts and lack of heating, the Center of young environmentalists “Afalina” (Odesa) gathered teachers and kids to discuss the value of wetlands.

The event’s agenda included the presentation of the movie about Kujalinyk wetlands and the presentation of Tiligulsky lyman. The EU4EMBLAS provided a presentation about the connections between the Black Sea and Black Sea wetlands and lymans for biodiversity conservation as well as, in general, about the project activities.

Prior to the event three competitions among the school pupils were announced:

– The best drawing about the wetlands;

– The best photo;

– The best story.

For each competition, three age categories were defined. The EU4EMBLAS project highly evaluated the creativity of the works and provided the main prizes for the three competitions in the three groups, this way stimulating children’s interest towards wetlands in such difficult times.

The project expresses its gratitude for arranging such an important event and inviting us there to the center of young environmentalists “Afalina” and Odesa Lyceum # 40 (director Natalya Zaporozhchenko).
