Black Sea diversity master classes at the event “People – lighthouses”

On 20th of May, a large informational event was held in the Shipping Museum of Mykolaiv, Ukraine. It was devoted to the lighthouses, their current state, and, in general, the Black Sea ships and biodiversity. The participants included the regional authorities, students and pupils etc.

In the frame of this event, EU4EMBLAS was invited to support the master classes with the kids.

The first concerns the traditional paintings of the magnets of Black Sea dolphins, fish, and jellyfish as well as at the key chains The kids also got information about the current state and way of living of a number of the Black Sea inhabitants. The most interest was in the Black Sea dolphin species.

The second master class was related to the collection of the Black Sea puzzle made of recycled plastic. The kids learned about the shape of the Black Sea and its diversity in interactive form.

The participants got special cookies from the project with a short story about the selected marine inhabitant.

Besides, there was a questions and answers session where the project representatives briefed about the project activities implemented and further planned.

As a result of this event, new stakeholders were reached to get involved in further project activities.

The events were organized jointly with the Association of Tourism Development in Mykolaiv oblast and cultural association “Art Spokusa”.
