  • November 18, 2025

On October 31st, at Black Sea Day, Georgian schools presented the results of the half-year monitoring of the cetaceans. It was their second monitoring period, and one can see how deeply the kids became involved in the topic.

The entire event took place in the building of Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University.

The meeting was opened by the University Rector, Mr. Tite Aroshidze, who also attended the gala event “Voice of the Black Sea” in the concert hall.

The event was a great success, both in terms of the schools’ presentation of dolphin monitoring reports and their theatrical and academic performances on the theme of the Black Sea. A jury consisting of university faculty members actively participated in evaluating the works. It was not easy to select between so many great performances.

Ramaz Mikeladze, project expert, noted that the value of the performances demonstrates a deep knowledge and affection for the Black Sea, and he is proud of the long-lasting cooperation between the project and the coastal schools of Georgia.
