This week EMBLAS researchers made a presentation about the first results of e-DNA study in the Black Sea at DNAqua-Net workshop “Validation and reporting of single species e-DNA analyses” http://dnaqua.net/ in Innsbruck, Austria.

Identification of the aquatic inhabitants by their DNA, dissolved in water is very modern technique, which is being more and more developed at present, so it is important to be in line with current developments. Our researchers got a lot of useful information, how to make the collected data comparable to the ones of other countries. They also got inspired to develop a protocol for quick detection of invasive species by eDNA.researchLooking forward to get the final results of this new type of study!
